Nobody Wants An Imitation

Have you read Pat O’Bryan’s last couple blog posts? If not, you should check it out. You can do so right –here.-

A couple days ago, he wrote a really good post about speaking from your authenic voice. Sometimes as a writer, that voice is hard to discern. And I have to take a step back from moment to moment and remember, like Pat says, that it’s important to be real. Nobody wants an imitation. Tell your story in your own voice. Tell someone elses story in your voice. It doesn’t really matter what any one else might think. Be yourself and in doing so, you’ll ring true to who you really are and other people will want to hear what you’ve got to say.

Enjoy your Sunday and keep an eye out for new posts, new articles and more coming soon. Also, be on the lookout for my new book “Everlasting” coming out in the next few months. If you’d like to read an excerpt from Everlasting, drop me an email and I’ll send you a free  PDF of the first chapter.
